A category on Australia's Consolidated List for persons and entities designated by the United Nations Security Council committee created by resolution 1267 in 1999 and now covering ISIL (Da'esh), Al-Qaida and their associates. It is Australia's implementation of the United Nations sanctions regime, given effect under the Charter of the United Nations Act 1945, applying the required asset freeze, travel ban and arms embargo.
