AFG

AFG denotes the European Union's restrictive measures in view of the situation in Afghanistan, established by Council Regulation (EU) No 753/2011 of 1 August 2011 with an accompanying Council Decision. It implements the United Nations Taliban sanctions framework created by Security Council Resolution 1988 (2011), providing asset freezes, travel restrictions and an arms embargo against individuals, groups, undertakings and entities associated with the Taliban that threaten Afghanistan's peace, stability and security.
