BLR

BLR denotes the European Union's restrictive measures concerning Belarus, founded on Council Regulation (EC) No 765/2006 of 18 May 2006, initially directed against President Lukashenko and certain officials after the 2006 presidential election. Providing asset freezes with travel bans under accompanying CFSP instruments, the framework was broadened greatly after the 2020 election and again over Belarus's involvement in the Russian aggression against Ukraine, adding wide sectoral trade and financial restrictions.
