Executive Order 13876, signed on 24 June 2019, imposed blocking sanctions on the Supreme Leader of Iran and the Supreme Leader's Office. It extends to officials appointed by them to state positions, to persons providing the blocked parties financial, material or technological support, and to entities they own or control, and exposes foreign financial institutions conducting significant transactions for them to correspondent-account restrictions.
