IRQ denotes the European Union's restrictive measures relating to Iraq, set out in Council Regulation (EC) No 1210/2003 of 7 July 2003, which implemented United Nations Security Council Resolution 1483 after the 2003 conflict and replaced the earlier trade embargo. It freezes funds of the previous Iraqi government and senior officials and entities associated with Saddam Hussein's administration, provides for their transfer to Iraq's successor arrangements, and restricts trade in Iraqi cultural property.
