TAQA
TAQA is the code for the European Union's ISIL (Da'esh) and Al-Qaida sanctions, established by Council Regulation (EC) No 881/2002 of 27 May 2002, which implements United Nations Security Council measures originally directed at Usama bin Laden, the Al-Qaida network and the Taliban. It freezes the funds of listed persons and entities; Taliban listings were moved to a separate Afghanistan framework in 2011, and the ISIL (Da'esh) reference was added in 2016.
