Executive Order 13660, signed on 6 March 2014, opened the series of US Ukraine-related sanctions orders. It authorises blocking persons who undermine democratic processes or institutions in Ukraine, threaten its peace, security, stability, sovereignty or territorial integrity, misappropriate Ukrainian state assets, or assert governmental authority over any part of Ukraine without authorisation from its government, and suspends their entry into the United States.
