Executive Order 13662, signed on 20 March 2014 after Russia's purported annexation of Crimea, is the sectoral arm of the 2014 Ukraine-related sanctions. It authorises blocking persons determined to operate in sectors of the Russian economy identified by the Treasury, naming financial services, energy, metals and mining, engineering, and defence and related materiel as candidates. The order also suspends entry of designated persons into the United States.
