Executive Order 13884, signed on 5 August 2019, blocks all property of the Government of Venezuela within US jurisdiction. The order defines that government broadly, including the Central Bank of Venezuela and the state oil company Petroleos de Venezuela, S.A. (PdVSA), and authorises blocking those who materially assist it. Entry into the United States of designated persons is suspended.
