The Global Human Rights Sanctions Regulations 2020
The Global Human Rights Sanctions Regulations 2020 created a thematic United Kingdom sanctions framework under the Sanctions and Anti-Money Laundering Act 2018, made on 5 July 2020 and in force the next day. Rather than addressing a single country, they permit designation of persons involved in activities that would amount to serious violations of certain human rights, wherever occurring, and provide asset freezes and exclusion from the United Kingdom.
The Global Human Rights Sanctions Regulations 2020 includes 181 canonical entities and 181 authority records.
