The Haiti (Sanctions) Regulations 2022
The Haiti (Sanctions) Regulations 2022, made on 5 December 2022 under the Sanctions and Anti-Money Laundering Act 2018 and in force from 28 December 2022, implement United Nations Security Council resolution 2653 concerning threats to the peace, security and stability of Haiti. Persons designated by the United Nations face asset freezes, and the regulations restrict trade in military goods and technology, with maritime enforcement powers supporting the trade measures.
