The Yemen (Sanctions) (EU Exit) Regulations 2020
The United Kingdom's Yemen sanctions regime rests on the Yemen (Sanctions) (EU Exit) (No. 2) Regulations 2020, made in November 2020 under the Sanctions and Anti-Money Laundering Act 2018, which revoked an earlier 2020 instrument and took substantive effect at the end of the Brexit transition period. Implementing United Nations Security Council resolutions 2140 and 2216, they provide asset freezes, travel bans and military-goods trade restrictions supporting Yemen's peace, stability and security.
