Canada's Russia sanctions are imposed through the Special Economic Measures (Russia) Regulations, SOR/2014-58, made on 17 March 2014 under the Special Economic Measures Act and administered by Global Affairs Canada. Persons listed in the schedules face a prohibition on dealings that operates as an asset freeze, alongside goods, services and financial restrictions. The regulations have been amended repeatedly, most recently in 2026.
